Making a Lasting Change

"Go and bear fruit that remains..." (John 15:16)

I'm sure most of you have heard by now that we (Jon and Carla Reinagel) are going back to Mozambique this year!

We're not in it for the numbers. We don't care as much about breadth. What we long to see is depth in the form of lives truly transformed, and equipped to transform other lives. One medium we plan to use to achieve this is through helping some Mozambicans realize their dream of building a Christian college which will offer practical courses in business and administration with a biblical foundation. The prevalence of poverty can only be broken by giving the African people an equal footing in education so that they can realistically compete with the foreigners who own almost everything right now. We know that it is a very long-range plan, and that there won't necessarily be immediate payoffs but a gradual culture shift that will hopefully bear fruit some years in the future.

Another medium we hope to initiate is a cultural bridge between Mozambique and the USA, fostering friendships that would allow people from opposite sides of the globe to know, challenge, and edify one another. You can hear more about our ministry's background and vision in this video:

Prayer Requests

Thanks to all who have prayed for us in the past, please continue to do so as we embark on this next chapter! Specifically right now we need prayer for:

Safe travels as we visit different churches
Our application to be an official non-profit organization to be accepted
That we could find affordable tickets
That we would be granted the pre-residency visa
More people to join in our mission, we want as many partners as possible, both in Mozambique and in the States

We have already started our speaking circuit, we had a great time visiting old friends and sharing our hearts in Wisconsin last weekend!
